What are the uses of Function Keys?

The Function Keys are one of the most underused keys in an keyboard.. Simple reason being many of us don't really know what use does they serve.

Function keys are listed in the top of any keyboard named F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7, F8, F9, F10, F11, and F12

As the name suggests The function keys are basically shortcut keys.

So here I'm going to list the function of each function keys to ease you guys with them and also next time you can use your keyboard The Sensible Way!

Here is the list of Function keys and their Functions:

F1- Opens the Help Screen for any program

F2-Used as a shortcut to rename any file or folder

F3-Opens the search feature for the active folder

F4-Alt + F4 closes the current program or window.

F5-Used to refresh the program or document.

F6-Moves the cursor to the address bar of the browser to enter an address.

F7-Used to spell check or Grammer check in any Microsoft application.

F8-Used to access the boot menu while restarting your computer.

F9- Refreshes the document in Microsoft program and used to send/receive Emails in Microsoft Outlook

F10-Used to access the menu bar of the program which is open and Shift + F10 is the same as right clicking a mouse.

F11-Enters and Exits Full Screen mode in browsers.

F12-Opens the save as dialog box in Microsoft Word.
